Kamloops Christmas Eve Service

6:00 pmto7:00 pm

It wasn’t an especially magical moment. To casual passers-by it would have been a little odd, but nothing to gawk at considering the Emperor’s decree: a family holed-up in a barn, a newborn baby making cooing sounds, and perhaps some cows lowing and mooing nearby. A touch unusual perhaps, but only because there wasn’t any room left at the inn.

But perception is not reality. Though it wouldn’t have appeared to be breath-taking, indeed it was. As little fingers fumbled around clumsily, as tiny eyes squinted hard to stay open, as the micro tuft of hair on his head stood straight up in a calic, this baby boy was both young and eternal, both small and infinite, both weak and all-powerful, clumsy yet the maestro that conducted the galaxies of the universe, and this baby boy was both a sacrificial offering given as a ransom for all and the King of all. It couldn’t have possibly been a more amazing sight to behold.

The Eve of Christ is an evening of wonder, mystery, sacrifice, and grateful joy. Join us this Thursday evening, the Eve of Christ, at 6:00PM as we remember the arrival of our redemption in the birth of our Redeemer.

Cookie Outreach!

December 5, 2009
1:00 pmto3:00 pm

Cookie Preparation Day will be Saturday, December 5 @ 1:00 PM.

During the Christmas Season our church is praying and preparing for giving the greatest gift of all: the gift of hope and a future in Christ Jesus! We are asking God to begin giving us opportunities to share the gift of the Gospel, the gift of Sweet Surrender to a meaningful relationship with God, with at least 5 friends, family, or co-workers who do not currently have any relationship with God and/or no relationship with fellow brothers and sisters inside of a church. Our hope and prayer is that members of our congregation will sit down with friends over a cup of coffee this Christmas season, share a bag of cookies as a free gift from our church, but most importantly – share the Gospel and the offer of hope and a future!

We’re asking that everyone begin praying for five friends that you will share the gospel with this Holiday season. We’re also asking that you begin praying for God to provide you with those opportunities. Our church will assemble bags of goodies/cookies that we will send with everyone to give to their friend as they share the gospel over a cup of coffee. The bags of goodies/cookies will contain some Christmas cookies, and a small card that has some basic information about our church. We’re not asking that you hand out a gospel tract! We’re asking that you share the Gospel face to face and hand out some cookies!

We will gather together on Saturday, December 5th, at 1:00 PM. We will spend an hour in extended prayer together as a church for the many in this community who do not know God. Following our prayer time together, we will assemble the bags of goodies as we discuss our friends and family that we will share the gospel with. We’ll talk strategy! We’ll discuss different ways to initiate dialogue. Following the assembly of the bags, we will conclude our Cookie prep day by praying for courage and God’s strength.

Please come and be a part of this commitment to reach our city with the Hope of Jesus Christ.

...through the fog of deception to the heart of God.

...through the fog of deception to the heart of God.

We have begun walking through the New Testament book of Galatians. This intense study of the book of Galatians will take us through the remainder of 2009 and the better part of 2010.  We meet every Tuesday at Clay & Carolyn Ganton’s home for Fellowship and study of Galatians at 7:00 PM. We also meet every Tuesday at 6:00PM in Logan Lake at Charlene and Tyson Vandean’s home. An additional Life Group meets every Thursday at Michael & Melissa Oatway’s Home at 6:30 sharp! Call for directions! We hope to see you there.

If you have not yet connected with a Life Group, then you need to. Life Group is important for your spiritual growth, and it helps our church look after you.
